Christen Lynch, Hospital Administrator & Partner
Christen Lynch is the Hospital Administrator and a partner at Animal Hospital of Rowlett and Animal Hospital of Heath. She began her career in veterinary medicine in 2001 as a kennel employee at Westwood Veterinary Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, while attending the University of Oklahoma. After two years in the kennel, she transitioned to a receptionist role, where she discovered her passion for client service in veterinary medicine.
Christen worked at Westwood for five years until Dr. Biles opened an emergency clinic and invited her to take on the role of practice manager. In 2008, after graduating, she joined Animal Hospital of Rowlett and Animal Hospital of Heath as the practice manager, eventually becoming the hospital administrator and a partner.
Outside of work, Christen enjoys spending time with her two children, Liam and Miller. She can often be found by the pool or relaxing on a patio with a cold Corona in hand. Her Golden Retriever, Sable, is a regular in the hospital’s doggie daycare program.

Naomi Romero, Hospital Services Manager
Naomi first joined Animal Hospital of Rowlett and Animal Hospital of Heath in 2018 as an Exam Room Assistant and Client Service Representative while juggling full-time school. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Biotechnology in late 2019, she returned to the hospitals as the Client Service Manager before being promoted to Hospital Services Manager in 2022.
Originally, Naomi had her sights set on a career in human healthcare but wasn’t thrilled about medical school. She planned to work at AHR/AHH temporarily before heading to nursing school—until COVID changed everything. She decided to stay in the veterinary field, where she had already built a strong foundation and a deep love for the work.
At the heart of Naomi’s role is a passion for client satisfaction—ensuring every pet owner feels heard, valued, and confident in their pet’s care. She is always looking for ways to elevate the client experience and strengthen the bond between the clinic and the families they serve. She fully embraces the clinic’s vision of providing exceptional patient care, fostering lasting relationships, and continuously improving through education, innovation, and compassionate service.
When she’s not at the clinic, Naomi is at home with her two dogs, Heidi (a Pyrenees-Pit rescue) and Theo (a Cane Corso). She loves reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. If she weren’t in veterinary medicine, she’d be throwing unforgettable events—because who doesn’t love a well-planned party?
Her favorite part of working at AHR/AHH? The people. The clinic is all-women-owned, with an all-female doctor and leadership team, and even in the midst of chaos, they always find a reason to laugh. Naomi loves being part of a tight-knit team that celebrates both clinic wins and personal victories!

Ariel McGrew has been with Animal Hospital of Rowlett since July 2018. She is the manager of the nursing department as well as the equipment and maintenance coordinator for both the Rowlett and Heath locations. Caring for animals has been a passion of hers for as long as she can remember.

After graduating, she pursued her education in the Vet Tech Program at Cedar Valley College, earning an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. Following graduation, she took the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE), passed, and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Texas.
In 2016, Ariel began her professional career as a Veterinary Technician. Since then, she has remained dedicated to expanding her knowledge and skills to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine, learn new techniques, and enhance the quality of care she provides to animals.
When she is not working at AHR, Ariel helps manage and run her husband’s plumbing company. Amid her busy schedule, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and their two beloved dogs, Maggie (an American Bulldog) and Kopitar (a German Shepherd). She values work-life balance and cherishes every moment spent with family and friends.
